Expensive lesson from my "chewing" Boston...

When she was feeling "off"
Our Boston, Ruthie, is 1.5 and chews and eats EVERYTHING! She is crated when we are not home and only has run of the kitchen and family room - so we do keep an eye on her. Well...in October she was acting "off" and I thought she was just sick, when she didn't bounce back I took her to the vet and via xray noticed something in her stomach. $1300 later they had removed a "bionicle" piece from her stomach attached to a lego (by a string she obviously ate from the blanket on the couch) in her small intestine which would have passed if it had not been anchored to the piece in her stomach. Long story short I love my "Ooof-a-goof" and would have paid whatever it cost to fix her because she is now back to her bouncy self making me smile everyday :)
Oh and I told my 4 sons if I see legos on the floor they go into the trash ;)
