I have a lab and Bo-Chi. The Bo-Chi eats grass constantly when she is outside. I made a comment to my husband that if she lived outdoor in a pen it would be balled!!! I found it strange too, but apparently it must be a boston trait. My lab doesn't really eat grass, on a very rare occasion she will.

Our dogs eat grass too!
It must look and smell really good.
Our cats eat it too...and the vet says it's good for them.
I don't know about the dogs, but I just tell them to stop that and come inside.
Maybe it helps their digestion like cats...the vet would know.

Grazing in the garden

My Boston Romeo (2 yrs old) is quite the grazer himself, I too was a little concerned - because he eats a LOT of it! But, the grass doesn't seem to bother him in any way, so I figure he knows what he's doing.
