Dooney

Just Hanging out
Dooney was adopted from the Athens, Ohio dog shelter when she was a puppy. I had called to pick up another dog however, they had mistakenly adopted her out. I was so sad but I had come there to adopt my first dog. I looked around and nothing...then I saw a small pin with 2 different looking dogs one was a blue brindle the other brown. I decided on the brown brindle and the rest is history. After a day of adjusting her personality started to shine through. We knew Dooney was part mini pin because the owner of her mother had dropped the puppies off at the pound (all of which were adopted). We found out later her father was a Boston Terrier. Dooney is sweet, loving, energetic, lazy, athletic, loves cats, balls, cat toys, any kind of food, and brooms. Hates hairdryers, pugs, fur coats, pin striped suits, boots with fur trim, and most things that are the color black. She's extremely smart and knows various animal names, where to look for them, commands, can fetch, play catch and do many other various things. She is a very good companion dog and follows her owners around all of the time. She waits on the cat house for her parents to get home from work and is extremely protective.
These dogs can adapt very well to different environments. With this mix it seems Dooney takes more to the Boston side as we also have a pure mini pin and they have very different temperaments.
