Dog yelping

Brutis our little man

My Boston Terrier has started yelping when he is starlted awake. I have checked him over to see if he is hurt some where to no avail. His yelp is not loud it is a very quit yelp. Can you please tell me if this is normal?

I'm glad I'm not the only one

Our BT sleeps in his kennel in our bedroom and one morning we were waken suddenly with a blood curdling yelp coming from him. My husband and I flew out of bed and did the same thing pulled him out and checked him over and he was fine. When we went over first I even looked to see if maybe he got his foot stuck in the cage but it wasn't. He did it twice so far and it gets us out of bed pretty quick like super heroes LOL I don't know if they just have a dream and they wake up or what yours was a soft yelp but Bailey was seriously like someone was hurting him. I just held him and he was fine.

He was probably sleeping hard and you just surprised him. Next time try talking to him or calling his name first just so he realizes he is not alone and you are there.
