Do Boston Terriers get depressed??

My Boston Terrier is usually very jumpy and excited all the time. This morning when I got up he just laid on the bed. I finally coaxed him into coming downstairs to go out to pee but when I tried to get him back to his room he just hid underneath the dining room table. I then left for work. When I got home to let him out, he didn't run to me like he normally does, he just laid there and he refused to play with the other dogs and again hid under the table and wouldn't come out. I now took him back up to the bedroom and he is laying next to me. Judging by his food bowl he didnt eat or drink all day and didnt touch his treats either.. I'm not sure whats wrong.

My husband did leave for the military about two weeks ago but he's been fine. This odd behavior started this morning...

Sad Boston

Yes, Bostons get sad. I have seen it. I thought my female was sad but turned out she was having her cycle. She has since been fixed but it was strange to see her like that. My friends pup was very sad when we would watch her while her momma went out of town. She didn't eat all her meals either but she was just gone for the weekend.

It sounds like you have a male, though, so it would be worth your time (and money) to see a vet or at least call one. It could be that your pup is ill.
