Do All Boston Terriers Need a Caesarean?

I would like to breed my girl Zoey, but someone told me that she would need a caesarean. Is this true?

I am interested in breeding my 13 month old as well. I just spoke to a breeder and she told me that all of her females have delivered normal and up to 8 puppies each litter.

We have bred four females and all of them free-whelped. None of them had any problems whelping. The pregnancies went very well too. Just be sure that you mate your female with a male that is smaller, if you can. Our male was about 4 pounds heavier, however, so even that rule can be overrun. I do suggest that you do a lot of research on breeding! Read everything you can find including ebooks, internet sites (like this one) and any books you can actually find. Also, contact a breeder that you know (maybe the one where you got your puppy) and talk to them too. They are a great source of help and information.
