Deadly Flatulence

HELP!! My Boston has terrible TERRIBLE flatulence! He can clear a room with one break of wind...and it continues all evening. I have tried all the "tricks" it tells you in dog books and websites, very high quality food, lots of walks and exercise, yogurt after dinner, smaller more frequent meals...none of this has made a hair of difference. Does any one else have any tip or recommendations?
Thank you!

Poor Bart~~

Don't feel bad. Our dog Daisy can "pass gas" one time, and it runs ALL of us out of the room. We wouldn't trade her for the world though~~ Bart is a cutie pie by the way....

Strong Wind
by: Mary

Our pups had some pretty strong wind too. We now use Blue Buffalo Fish and sweet potato kibble. Make sure he has no corn in his food. I don't know how old your pup is but getting older helps too I hear. Our pups don't have near the skunktide that they used to have.

I read somewhere of pills that help with gas on a website. I haven't tried them cuz ours have settled down lately. I also feed them a doggie vitamin, fish oil tablets, and a spoon full of yogurt a day.

Oh...NO PEOPLE FOOD!!!!!! Make sure no one is sneaking him any "treats".

If you look on the Boston Terrier websites one of the traits of a Boston is that they have really nice gas. Some say that's cuz since their nose is short they swallow a lot of air. I am not sure about that but I do know that it has settled down a bit at our house.

Good luck and come back and tell us what you try and what you find out!

Gassy Boston
by: Sharri

If you can get Blue Buffalo and try it for a few weeks, it really helped the dogs in my family.

It has good bacteria. Yogurt actually has milk which probably creates more gas. Good Luck.
