The Cream Boston Terrier

The Cream Boston Terrier is also known as Blonde. They are, at times, incorrectly labeled as Tan, Champagne, or White Boston Terriers.

Cream Bostons are solid white at birth, so they are frequently mistaken as albino. They will darken slightly with age, sometimes taking several weeks or even months to show cream markings. Some darken more quickly than others.

A few ways to tell the difference between a cream and an albino are:

  • Cream bostons will have a coat that is pale yellow, with skin that is more darkly pigmented, and dark brown eyes.

  • Their darker pigment will range from brown to grey, or even red in color.

  • A cream will usually have pigmentation in the nose, eye rims, and paw pads, whereas an albino will lack pigmentation in these areas.
