The Chocolate Fawn Boston Terrier

The Chocolate Fawn Boston Terrier has a very distinctive look, with a red/brown melanistic mask that may be difficult to see unless they are in the correct lighting. They are born with fawn coloring, a brown mask that covers nearly the entire head, and chocolate-colored hairs down the backbone.

Although the coloring of a Chocolate Fawn Boston is closest to that of a Fawn, they have only been know to be born to red Boston parents. This gives them the red/brown pigmentation and/or hairs throughout the coat, rather than the darker pigmentation and/or hairs found in Fawns. The irises of their eyes tend to be lighter in color than the red and chocolate colored Bostons.
