I was reading some other posts and felt maybe I should elaborate about Chloe. We were heading into the pet store to buy cat food and a teenage boy was holding (or as best he could, because this breed is HYPER), chloe with a sign that read "Free to good Home." My daughter begged and somehow my husband agreed to get the dog. The first year of owning her was pretty tough on me (I'm a cat person). She JUMPS, does laps around the house full speed, and licks CONSTANTLY. We couldn't lay down without her jumping on our heads. She ran right over my mother-in-law's face one day while she was laying on the couch. We crated her during the day and I have read online that this breed needs it. She actually was really easy to potty train and train for tricks (sit, lay, roll). We have 2 cats and ,although she bothered them at first, they are now best friends! We always have had chew toys laying around so we never had a problem with her chewing items in the house. But this breed takes PATIENCE, exercise, and attention. It took a full year for me to even form a connection with her. The result is very rewarding though. She is so loving and sweet. She still is crazy and, by far, the fastest dog at the dog park!! I would not trade her for anything!
