My boston terrier is 8 months old and chews on my furniture when i leave the house. any tips? ive already tired bitter yuck and that doesnt seem to work.
We have 2 Boston/Jack Russell mixes(almost 8 months) , they are wonderful yet LOVE to chew....I would never consider leaving them out while I was gone. Have you ever thought of "crate training"? It sets boundaries, just like you set them with humans in your life. Give it some thought, just get advice on the proper size( cause if the crate is too big they will go to the bathroom in it)... and make sure that they go "potty" before you leave and you are not having to worry about anything:) Gives the puppy a safe place to go when they want to also !!
Blessings!! :)

Be Patient by: Sharri Bronas
I had the same problem with my Boston, Allie. She is 4 now, but for the first year of her life she ate the wall corners and edges of the dresser and even ate the lining under the mattress. She is just a natural ball of energy. Have patience, keep her exercised and walked to reduce the pent up energy. Give her lots of attention too. This helped me a lot, but we had to crate her when away for long. She eventually outgrew it. The biggest thing we do is every night throw the tennis ball over and over or give her a "big ball" to wear her out. Boston's need extra "playtime". Good luck.
