Cherry Eye Overnight?

by Crystal

This morning my 4 year old boston woke up with what seems to be cherry eye in his right eye, its not red, just pink at the moment. He has never had any health or eye issues. Is it common for bostons to just "get" cherry eye over night.

Yes..My boston terrier just developed it overnite. I woke up one morning and BAM it was sticking out. Let me tell ya, it scared the crap outta me at first! Waiting for my tax return to come in so i can fix it cuz the surgery is EXPENSIVE! $600-$800!!!!

Make sure to keep the eye clean, I have a BT that had one I put it back in when it happens. Usually they occur when there is been a lot of pressure applied to their neck like pulling on a leash that's why they should always be walking in or tied out in a harness and not a collar.

Cherry Eye

We have had 5 litters and only one of our pups ended up with Cherry Eye but she did get it "overnight". It can even "go away" but chances are you will need to have a vet check it out. Don't settle for your first opinion..get at least two!
