Cataract surgery or not?

My Boston is 5 yrs. old and his cataracts are matured. Vet is ready to remove them. Has anyone out there had this done?

We had the surgery on our 9 year old Boston. It did not go well at all. She was very healthy and a good candidate but complications set in. Your baby is younger and it may be a better bet. I'm just saying ask lots of questions and be very sure. I also had a Boston live most of her life with cataracts and do fine.
