I was told that pumpkin was good for dogs, my little girl loves pumpkin pie, but I'm not sure.

Pumpkin can help

We give our Boston, Maybell, pumpkin when she is constipated. It always works! I just give her some straight from the can...not sweetened or in a pie or anything.

Plain pumpkin in the can is great for dogs. My vet recommended pumpkin to aid in digestion and also my aunt raises Icelandic Sheepdogs and she puts pumpkin in their food. I also put a tablespoon of pumpkin in my Boston Terrier's food and he loves it.

I wouldn't give my little bostons pumpkin pie due to all the added ingredients to the pumpkin, sugar, etc. Plain pumpkin in small amounts might be alright, I'm not sure.
