I think that is what you were asking for. First thing that came to my mind was the stone lapis lazuli. So lapis or lazi or zula or laz. Which lazi almost sounds like lasie so you may get a very dependable pooch that can save you from any wells that you may encounter. Just kidding let me know if these helped inspire you at all.
