Butch

After losing my first Boston I just had to get another. I was interested in no other breed. Bostons are cute, handsome, and playful. The well-marked Bostons even have a look of sophistication with their appearance of wearing a short sleeved tuxedo. But having bulldogs in their ancestry, they still kinda have that "tough guy" look. So I had to name my guy "Butch". We called him "Butchie" as a puppy, and he never seemed to completely outgrow it. We just lost our little Butch yesterday, and eventually we will get another dog. We are not quite ready yet, but when when the time comes it will definitely be another Boston.

Butch

Wow, I was very touched by all the responses. Butchie turned 14 on September 7, 2009, so he did have a long, happy life. It's been 6 weeks, and I still look for him sometimes. Not a single day has gone by when I haven't said, "Man, I miss my dog." He was a great "brother" to my 7 year old son. But I also know that when we get another Boston, it will have the great disposition and intelligence they are known for. And some day I'll love it just as much and Butchie and my first Boston, Godfrey.

Loosing butchie
by: Tami

So sad to hear about Butchie. We have 2 bostons. Lucy & Sasha and they are our first bostons we've ever owned. I don't believe I'll ever own another breed. It wasn't that long ago we lost our daisy (mut) and that pain hurt so badly. We had her almost 10 yrs. I could not imagine life without our bostons. So I pray God lets us keep them for a VERY LONG TIME! I will also pray he will heal your pain and bring another puppy into your life soon.

So sorry for your loss

Bostons have a way of being such a special part of our lives, and there's such a big hole left when they pass on. I know getting another Boston will help fill that hole. Bostons just want us to be happy!
