Boston terrier/French bulldog (FRENCHTON)

I need to know if anyone out there has a dog that eats insects? My Frenchton eats all kinds of bugs (spiders,beetles,ants, including the red fireants, that bite him as he is consuming them)I can not get him to quit. I am afraid he going to eat a poisonist insect and die. This is the first bulldog I have owned, maybe it is their nature. Can someone give me info.
