Our little Man Zeus!

Hi everyone,

I am pregnant and due in 5 months.. we currently have a 6 month old boston terrier and I was wondering if there was anything i could do to help get him ready for the new baby that will be coming into our household.. any suggestions?

Babies and Bostons

Definitely research how best to "socialize" your puppy and introduce new things to him one at a time. Have some friends come over and sit for a while and keep your attention on your pup. It would be great if someone had a baby to bring. Make sure he learns the behavior you want him to have.

If you have a baby room, teach him what is a "no-no" and where he can go in that room.

He should be learning how to sit, stay, come, etc already but if not then teach him those too.

Most of all go for a daily walk on his leash for as long as his little body can stand it. They do get hot easily so this shouldn't be a very long walk for you. He will learn many things on that walk but most important he will learn that you are the boss!
