Brady after grooming
We got Brady from a Shih Tzu and Boston Terrier breeder for my son's birthday last year. The breeder said she was experimenting when her Shih Tzu had the puppies, but I think the Boston daddy snuck in the hen house at just the right time.
Brady has been the best dog. He rarely barks (only when he is outside and wants in). He was a breeze to housebreak. He had maybe 4 accidents when we first got him, and none since. He has learned on his own how to ask how to go outside. We have blinds on our back door, and he will nudge them just enough to make a tapping sound. We let him out, and he will tap gently on the door when he is ready to come back in. If we don't hear him, that is when he will bark, but only once or twice. After that he gives up and just sits by the door.
We keep him groomed short which makes him look much more like a Boston. If his hair gets long, he looks like a Gremlin.
He never jumps on the furniture, and loves to be with the family. He is not overly affectionate, and never tries to lick your face (I am not a fan of that with dogs). The one bad habit he does have is digging in the yard. This is a hard one to break because he never does it when you are outside with him.
He loves to play tug, wrestle, and fetch. He is very gentle when playing also. All in all we have been incredibly lucky with Brady, and wouldn't trade him for the world.
