Boston Terriers Fighting

I have a male and female that fight BAD! They were fine for the 1st year then started fighting. He is older and fixed. It got so bad that I thought they would end up killing each other. For the past 3 years they have not been around each other at all because they would fight till one kills the other. Have no clue why this started? Tried everything and the only thing that works is just to keep them away from each other.Anyone have this problem or know anything that might help???

Still Not Sure

We do not know the end result yet because we sent the female to a trainer for a 30 day program and then left the male for the same program the day we picked her up.

Our's are fighting too...
by: Jamie

Oh, glad to see I am not alone. I was looking for help. My hub and I adopted 3year old male & female BT's from rescue Nov 2011. They have had a few fights, but it seems to be escalating. They never have bad fights when it's just my husband with them.

We have been to some behavior and obedience training, but we are terrified they will hurt each other and others. I had to go to ER the other day because I was trying to break them up.

Female is fear aggressive and a bit dominate with the 3 extra pounds to back it up. Male is possessive between my hubby and I. He usually jumps and bites at whichever of us is moving towards the other that is stationary.

We cannot continue and need to find solutions quickly. We bought a static collar to try, but haven't gotten up the nerve yet.

Steve, we have exactly the same story developing in our house. We have a male 1.5y/o and a female 9 mo. Recently they started going at each other but only when I get home. They spend the whole day with my husband without a fight. Did you find any good answers to your problem that can help us too?

Male/Female Fighting
by: Steve

We have recently come into the same problem. Our male is 4 and is my wife's dog and our female is 3 and is mine. They have been together since the female was 8 weeks old and although they would fight every now and then it has progressed in the past few days where they try to kill each other. The strange thing is that it is only when I am home. My wife stays home during the day and she says they get along fine but within a few minutes of me getting home they start attacking each other and we have to keep them separated. I treat them both the same and acknowledge that the male is the top dog but we are at a loss to know what to do.
