Boston Terriers and People With Allergies

I am interested in getting a BT puppy, but I have pet allergies. My parents have a Yorkie/Maltese mix, and he doesn't bother my allergies due to his lack of shedding and type of hair. Some people seem to think that a BT is nearly hypoallergenic (which I know that no dog truly is), while others state that BTs shed constantly. Which is it, and how will a BT and a person with pet allergies get along?

Relieving Allergies
by: Bennie Wyatt

There is nothing worse than suffering with allergies. It causes a person to miss out on so many things in life; such as owning a pet. I was allergic to everything until my daughter introduced me to Zija nutrition back in April of this year. I can now enjoy my Boston Terrier, Colonel, without paying for it later with a stopped-up nose, runny eyes and a headache. Colonel is ten years old and we have owned him since he was seven months old; he is my little four legged boy. I am going to share our story with you.

Hi, my name is Colonel D. Wyatt, but most people call me Colonel; I am a ten year old male Boston Terrier and I live with my Mom, Bennie and Dad, Perry in Jeffersonville, Indiana. My Mom was introduced to the miracle drink Zija in April of this year and it made such a big difference in her life she decided to become a Zija Distributor and share the Miracle.
When I went for my yearly vet check-up and shots in February, of this year, the vet told my Mom that I was now a senior citizen and needed to be checked every six months, so she wanted to see me again in August. The vet also told us that I had fatty tumors in my left hip and my eyes were getting cloudy, but I knew I was slowing down and starting to age; she did not have to tell us. This news really bummed my Mom out, because she thinks I am the greatest dog that ever lived. Mom knew she had to do something to turn my aging problems around for me. So when Mom found out about Zija and saw what it did for her she started sprinkling Zija in my Kellogg?s Cereal in the morning and in my Beneful dog food every evening. The next thing I knew I had more pep to my step, I could see things clearer and I started running laps around the yard in the morning like I did before I became a senior citizen. Then it came time for my six months senior citizen check-up with my vet. She told us that my fatty tumors were gone, my eyes were clear and I had lost two pounds; she asked my Mom what she had been doing for me. Well Mom told the vet about my Zija and gave her information to read on Zija; we shared my story with the vet and now I am sharing it with my Zija Family and friends.
I am a Zija Dog!

Allergies to Dogs

Most people are really allergic to the small skin cells that are shed (and inhaled)from animals. And MOST people are not allergic to Boston Terriers.

However each person is different and may not be allergic to one dog while his friend may be allergic to that one.

My husband is allergic to Yorkies and most every other dog (and cats and small fury anythings), however he is not allergic to our three Boston Terriers.

As far as shedding hair, yes they do shed but it seems to be quite seasonal AND their hair is short so you don't notice it as much. If your Boston is kept in very good health the shedding will be minimal. We feed ours a fish oil supplement and a vitamin supplement. They also stay inside except for walks and potty time.

The best way to tell if you are allergic to Boston Terriers is to visit a breeder at their home. It only takes my husband about 15 minutes to tell if he feels his nose getting stuffy and his eyes starting to itch.

I have terrible pet allergies but I am completely fine with my Boston. Love him to death and we cuddle every night. Try going to see the pups before getting one. I'm sure you can figure out within 20 min if they will bother yor allergies or not.
