Boston Terrier

Our Boston terrier is 2 1/2 months old and has one blue eye and one brown eye. What is the rarity if any that a boston would have those colored eyes? Or is this the beginning of an eye disease?

What about two blue eyes
by: Robin The Boston

Both of our Boston's eyes are blue. How rare is this? At first I was looking for a female with 2 blue eyes to try and have blue eyed puppies but after reading about the deafness problem, I'm not sure. If I'm not going to breed him I would neuter him. So, what are the chances he will develop problems? He is just over 2 yrs now and shows no signs of any problems.

Blue Eye

Unfortunately it is not rare. I also have one that has 1 blue and 1 brown. It is pretty common but very important NEVER to breed. The blue eye is an indicator that the dog carries the gene that can cause deafness in Bostons.
