Boston Terrier yelping and shaking frequently . . . why?

by Liz

Just yesterday, my 3 year old Boston Terrier started yelping when touched. The yelping became more frequent, and I find him shaking (almost like he's cold) when not covered in blankets. Our home is heated very comfortably by a coal stove and furnace, so I'm not sure why this is. Can somebody please help? Thank you!

Boston Terrier yelping and shaking
by: amby5

My Boston Terrier has been yelping and shaking as well. We've been to two vets and had numerous tests done. Nobody can seem to tell us what's wrong with him. I'm sure he is in pain and I don't know how to help him. He went back to normal for 1 1/2 months then all of a sudden started back on acting weird. Please, does anyone know whats going on?

My experience says that when a dog yelps there is something hurting them. We have 3 Bostons and usually it is something in one of their ears. However, they do not shake when they have an ear infection.

Make a complete and exhaustive list of everything that you notice about your dog. Is he drooling, does he shake all the time, even when sleeping or just when certain people are in the room? Did anyone let him jump from their arms or the bed? How is his appetite? Does he use the potty the same? Does he play the same as before? Then take this list to the vet. He may want to do some x-rays which shouldn't cost too much. The vet should be able to tell you what he has or at least rule out some very important problems he might not have.

Let us know what you find out!
