Boston Terrier with red eyes and itching

7 year old BT. Suddenly eyes real red all day. trying to itch head all the time. Also doing excessive licking.

itching and licking caused by allergies

Yes, I agree itching and licking are all signs of allergies. I would look to what you are feeding to start with as any corn in their food is the biggest culprit. I have had my pack on a completely corn and grain-free diet and have had no issues with skin allergies, while those I know who feed food with corn ingredients have many issues with skin and digestive allergic reactions.

Definitely sounds like an allergy. You can probably give your BT 1 25 mg. Benadryl or generic version (one pink pill or capsule). That should help ease the discomfort. Definitely will have to give your dog a bath with something very gentle, maybe oatmeal soap. Check in with the vet ASAP to have some testing done and perhaps get something you can administer to control the symptoms if they are seasonally based.
