Boston Terrier Pup with Blue Eyes

My Boston is 7 weeks and has crystal blue eyes. I read somewhere that Boston's with blue eyes are prone to deafness! Now I find myself really paying attention to her hearing and I'm getting concerned. She sleeps very soundly and doesn't react to loud noises. It may be that she's sensitized to the noises already cause there was young children and alot of activity where she came from. It may be too soon to tell, and it's been 10 yrs since my older dog was a puppy so I don't remember how she was. Just thought someone could help me out.

DEAF BOSTON TERRIER
by: Kathleen

I have recently adopted a rescued 6 month old Boston Terrier named Winston. He is a doll baby and a lover, but he is deaf. I have to say that any dog that doesn't jump when you vacum tell you something is wrong. I have heard that bostons that have more white can are more prone to deafness, also, Winston soft palate is pale and note black.......I have had DEVIL DOG, as I have nicknamed him for almost 3 weeks and he is doing well and unless I told someone he was deaf even the vet wouldnt have known. He is adapting well and even thought MOM hasn't had a puppy in over 12 years and only have a 12 year old inherted Boston from my mom, Winston will manage and Mom will find a way to give this wonderful little boy a happy home.......Good Luck.
