BT Licks and has Red Nail Bed by: Anonymous
My Boston Licks everything but recently she and my jack have started licking their feet a lot. My Jacks always had allergies. I noticed while using the pedipaw on my boston that his nail bed was red like blood was at the surface of the nail and I noticed his face was a little puffy. He's allergic to ragweed bad but he hasn't had a bad reaction like he did when he was a pup. He had really bad welts on his back. Freaked us out but all we had to do was give him benadryl. I give them it at least once a week in the summer. But I never noticed the nail thing before. Is this similar to what you experienced?

hello by: sasa
I too have a Boston that licks her paws. I asked the vet once and she said Pepper could have a grass allregy. My vet said to give her a benadryl. I cannot remember if she said to give her a whole ablet or to split in half. I am not sure if it helped, because all it did was put Pepper to sleep. Sometimes i think licking is just a Boston habit. My friend also has a Boston that licks his paws. I would suggest talking with your vet.
