Boston Terrier licking front paws

My older rescue Boston Terrier ( we have only had him for 4 month) keeps licking his front paws where they have become discolored to like a reddish brown. He has almost no teeth. Not sure why. he was extememly malnurished when we got him. He is just a sweetheart.

Yeast infections
by: Anonymous

This sounds a lot like yeast infections. My Boston has allergies and one of the first symptoms is this brownish discoloration between his claws and pads.

If you can eliminate the allergen, that is ideal but for my boston, all I can do is treat the infection before it spreads since he's allergic to almost everything.

A topical anti-biotic is what I find works best for my guy. Just make sure your dog doesn't lick it off before it has a chance to soak in.

Hope this helps.
