Boston Terrier Jealousy???

I have Boston Terrier "Pepper", who has been our only dog for 3.5 years. She has always been the center of attention. We recently acquired another one "Rocky", who is always trying to play with her, and snuggle up to her. She will have nothing to do with him, and acts like he is not even in the room. We do continue to give her a bunches of loving. Is there something to do to help her accept Rocky?

ok, we had a boston terrier up till yesterday. she was my wife's dog - her name was maggie; had her since 8 weeks old. We also had a mutt; she was my dog. They were 1 year apart, maggie was 5yr, my dog now 6.

Well they started attacking each other about 2 months ago, over barking when anybody came to door. Each fight got worse, they started fighting to the death. Needless to say, we had too put maggie down on father's day, yesterday. We are very upset as u would think, but i am hoping my story will help another family before it happens to them.

Maggie was fixed, my dog wasnt. Both dogs ate and slept together with us, but maggie started to horde all toys, wouldn't let other dog play with nothing. Oh my dog is 80lbs, maggie was 20lbs. I wished i knew what went wrong between them, so if anyone knows what could have happened, let me know!!!!

Rocky Roads

If Rocky is a puppy, then it won't take long for them to form a bond. My female is 3 yrs old and she likes our puppy OK, but the puppy wants to play more than she does. That's fine. Just give the puppy a lot of toys and play fetch with him (Rocky). It took about a month for the female to realize that the puppy was staying for good and had his place in the "pack" too. Just know that there is usually a fight to be the "top dog" and only one can be that. Let them clearly know who the lead dog is and they should settle down.
