Boston Terrier Jaw Pain

My 9 year old, Princess, started making these short yelping sounds a few days ago. It seams to be due to an issue with her jaw. She has trouble chewing food and drinking water. Took her to a Vet today and she would not let us open her mouth to see inside. She was very lathargic yesterday, but more active today, so the Vet wanted to give it time to see if she continues to improve. Masticular myositis is one word she used as possible diagnosis.
Anyone out there have a Boston with this problem?
