Boston Terrier Having Seizures

I have had a 2 year Boston Terrier for a week now. A friend had to move and couldn't take her, so I brought into my home. She has a history of seizures, but only one or 2 every few months. The day I picked her up, her former owner said she had one that day. A week later, she had another one and then one the following day. Could it be stress from the move that is causing them to be more frequent?

We had a BT named Cody, he had seizures for over year that started when he was 11. He had a tumor on his brain and was medicated for the entire year. In 2010 he had a seizure that lasted all day, we took him to the vet on Saturday morning and he stayed over night. We called the vet Sunday and he reported he was doing better, eating and drinking and alert. However, we got a call on Sunday night at midnight that he had passed away. He suffered for so long because his seizures were grand mal seizures and he averaged 2 to 3 seizures a week.So sorry to hear about everyone going through this because it is very painful to watch your pet and not be able to do anything for them.

Seizure -
by: "Sprocket"

My Boston Terrier freaked me out this morning when he suddenly collapsed on the floor...he couldn't move and started shaking and foaming at the mouth...about 10 mins later, he got up and is now back to normal. After doing much research, and reading comments about other BTs that have gone through the same...it does sound like an epileptic seizure...suggestions please!!!!

We've had our boston for almost 12 years now and he has a seizure at least once a month. The seizures draw him completely down and sometime they last up to 30 minutes. After talking with our vet, we were told he had canine epilepsy. Until the seizures interfere with his day to day life, the vet refused to put him on the meds because they have far worse side effects. Hope this helps.

I would take her to your veterinarian because you don't want her to have too many seizures close together like that. They can give her medication to take so she doesn't get them. I suggest taking her right away.
