Boston Terrier Has Swollen Belly

Hi everyone, my Boston has a swollen belly and she has been dewormed twice. There were no worms the second time around, and it comes and goes. She plays and eats and everything like any normal puppy. I know this breed can be gassy, could that be the issue?

Mine too is having a swollen belly. Just came 1 day. Vet did blood work, ok, then 2 xrays shows fluid in his belly. Now we have low income trying to decide on needle biopsy and ultra sound or straight to surgery vet says do all other first, but going straight for surgery solves all. Worried bout my willie.

Hi -
I'd have her checked by your vet. There are so many things that could cause a swollen abdomen. She is still eating and playing well, and isn't lethargic or vomiting, so that's a good sign.

You said that it "comes and goes" - have you noticed a pattern with the bloating (right after eating, or after exercise, for example)? It might end up being gas, but I'd have her checked to be sure.
