Boston Terrier Gas Fixed with Food

Our Arnie was very gassy as a puppy. It was so bad that he emptied a car on a family vacation. We tried different dog foods and he still had gas. Based on a veterinary book I read, I started making one batch of food that lasts for about 2-2.5 weeks. Brown 6 pounds of ground chuck and mix in 4 pounds of cooked sweet potatoes. We put half of the batch in the freezer and put the other half in the fridge for immediate use. He does not have the terrible gas and has thrived for the last 8 years. I have found that chicken and pork are not good for him and beef is better. Treats will also increase the gas. We give him the Mother Hubbard homemade treats in moderation.
