ah, food!

I serve my "monkeys" Nutro lamb & rice small bites and they do very well on that; stools are generally well formed, so I think the flavor you choose it up to you. Darby was a picky eater until Scarlett arrived. Now he eats very well, but I still add a little bit of whatever to the kibble. By that I mean, if I have chicken or other meats left over, I cut it up really fine, add water to it and any other meat juices, and make a little meat "juice" to add. If I use canned food, I cut it with water to make it gravy-like and add a teaspoon to each bowl of kibble. They love it and lick the bowls clean. Right now I'm using the Nutro Natural Choice "Herring and Sweet Potato" canned food for their extra treat on top of the kibble, and that really smells fishy! However, they love it, and my Maine Coon cat is happy to lick the spoon. Good luck!
