Boston Terrier Breeding Behavior

when I take Japer and Holly outside they always find spots in the yard and sniff and then roll in that smell,I would like to know why do they do that? They did it today and when they came back inside they STUNK!!.I would also like to mention the 2 of them got stuck together 3 times while she was in heat about 3 weeks ago, My question is how likely is it that she is pregnant? Is it okay for them to wrestle around so much? Thank you Grace

The "Tie"

If your bostons were "tied" three times while your female was in heat, the liklihood that she is pregnant is almost positive. Please see the vet in about 5 weeks to have him check her out and confirm that. In the meantime, you can read up on how to take care of a pregnant female because they need very special care. The female will start to feel a little bit slower and should stop wrestling so much with the male. As far as rolling in "it", doggies love to smell. There was something there, poop, a dead bug, something yucky to us that they love to "roll in". They probably need a bath. When my male rolls in it (the females do not for some reason) I tell him no and take him in for a bath. Then I try to find the "thing" and get rid of it. One time it was a dead snake (pew weeee!) and one time it was kitty poop (more pew weee!). Good luck with that!
