Boston Terrier Attitude

My cute Louie gives me attitude!

I have a 14 week old BT and he is doing great overall, crate training, potty training, leash training. But when he starts to play a little too rough and nip at us I will stand up and tell him NO and he will start barking at me and nip even more and then when I try and pick him up he will run away like crazy. He isn't neutered (YET, he will be in about 4 weeks, I think) so I'm wondering if that is part of the problem? This is my first BT so I may be a little novice at this and I don't want to do something wrong!

Puppy bites
by: nonymous

I have two four month old Boston puppies one male and one female, they are not litter mates. I also have a female Boston that is almost fifteen years old. My puppies started to do puppies nips, My little Louie, more than my Feebe. I told him no sharply, placing my finger on the bridge of his nose. My dog training book said to let a puppy suck on your finger but not nip. Works like a charm. Your puppy is teething I don't think nutering has anything to do with it.
