Open eyes while sleeping
by: Melissa

It's not good for them to sleep with their eyes open. Our vet says it can dry out there eyes and they can go blind. There is a cream u can get that makes them close there eyes while sleeping.

YES.

I have a 3yr old female boston & a 2yr old male boston/frenchie mix, and they BOTH almost always sleep & dream with their eyes partially open. They've got big eyes, and I guess when they're totally relaxed, their eyelids are not concerned with total coverage. Lol, no worries, it's totally normal. :)

sleeps with eyes open

My Basston (boston basset mix) also does this I wonder if it is a breed thing. I googled it and there is nothing harmful about it, it is just like us sleeping with our eyes open. If you are still concerned talk to your vet, they can always help.
