Boston Terrier - 7 years old with sudden blue eye?

I got my oreo 7 years ago and he has done well with his eyes until today that is. We noticed one of his eyes (his right eye) was pretty glossy looking and has turned a bluish color all over. His eyes have always been brown...is this blindness setting in? Im not sure what to do, Ive never seen this before.

I just have young dogs, 4, 3, and 2 years old so I have never seen this. It does sound like a problem and perhaps a very serious one. The vet really needs to see this to be sure but it might be cataracts.
