Boston Tail so close to the body poop get stuck...

I have a boston that will be a year in may, he has a small tail, but it's so close to his butt he get poop stuck between his b-hole and the tail. We've tried clipping the hair and shaving around there, but nothing seems to help. I'm worried about the future and the possibility of infections. We wipe him every time he comes in, but it seems like we don't always get it clean enough. I there anything we can do, can we have operation done to fix it or is there something else we can do?

Our lil willie is now 9yrs, he came to us by some one dumping him he had heart worms..had surgery great dog..The owners of him how ever cut his tail too short.his sphincter muscle is damaged and will not help cut a clean poo turd..So he goes on puppy pads and runs to husband mainly turns around and if he could say help he would.If he has 1 poo hanging out he cannot release he freaks out scared..so my hubby keeps toilet tissue near him and a bottle of lotion and h2o to help him..when we got him poo was caked in his tail just clean it off and if crusty use h20 then a lotion wipe helps..good luck your boston is well worth it... If you can't handle it for when u r gone it may get on furniture we cover ours with blanket so to wash it.too big a problem send him our way.hazeltaylor2912@comcast.net we will give him good home with lots of lotion & charmin.
