Boston Females Fighting

My daughter has a female Boston and so do I. When my daughter gets ready to leave, she gets really upset. This past weekend was bad, and I now have 8 stitches in my hand. Any suggestions on how to help with this?

Bad Day

Wow. This one is a first. Most BT's love each other and all people and everything that moves. But I guess sometimes even my own get a bit grouchy. It sounds like your daughter's bt is having separation anxiety and your bt is getting caught up in the whole drama. If you don't already have a crate at least get one for your daughter's dog. When she leaves she needs to put her dog "up" for a short time. Then you can go get the dog later. But first you probably need to establish yourself as the "pack leader". This will take some time (even a number of months)but you will like the results. You can do an internet search on training dogs especially on the Cesar Millan website. That should tell you how to gain their obedience. Then let them know that real fighting is a big no no. Our girls play-fight but they are not angry nor do they generate blood. Our cats are a different story.:)

Good luck with this and let us know what you find out.
