Hello. I just bought an 8 week old boston terrier from a breeder. The pup appears to have blue eyes, but not light blue. He has dark blue eyes. I was wondering if anyone else's is like this, since i have never seen it before. And if it is connected to hearing loss?
Both parents had brown eyes.

I have one with one blue eye and have another with two blue eyes. They are 6yrs old. They hear and see just fine. I love them. They're great dogs.

My Boston will be 12 years old this month. She has one blue eye and one brown eye. She is a great companion. I have thoroughly enjoyed these years with her and wish that I could have 12 more!

We got our Boston terrier from the local shelter when he was a little over a year old. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. I had never seen that before. He is very smart and so loving. He is our baby. He has a solid white face and brindle body, and we just love him so much. We've had him 2 years now and couldn't imagine life without him.

I have a blue eyed male that threw 2 females that have one blue eye. He is Rowdey, is 4. He is smart, very active. He loves to play, fetch is his favorite. You can throw anything & he will go get it, over & over again. I would love to see blue eyed Bostons. We live in Texas.

I have a 2 year old girl Oreo .... she has 2 blue eyes also but she is smart as a whip !!! I am looking for a blue eyed male to breed her with, if anyone is interested then please email me at cat_rees@hotmail.com . My Boston Terrier Raley has one light blue eye and one dark brown eye it is a birth defect he has perfect hearing and eye sight. That one blue eye make him unique from our other Boston Terrier with brown eyes!!!

I have a 2.5 month old BT with big light blue eyes. He's so adorable, but I think what makes him so unique is his coat, its not black and white, hes brown and white. I fell in love with his eyes!

Hi! My 1 year old bt boy has light blue eyes and is the most precious dog in the entire world! I thought they might change but they were a light blue from when he was very young. He is gorgeous! My dog hears perfectly too.

My little guy Tar had dark blue eyes when I got him, but as her got older they turned to brown. Just like newborn infants.

I looked up the cause of blue eyes on boston terriers cuz I wanted one with blue eyes. The following website explains breed standards for boston terriers and disqualifies them if they have blue eyes: http://www.akc.org/breeds/boston_terrier/

I'm guessing that this means that either the blues eyes indicate they aren't 100% bos. Terrier, or that it indicates eye problems if they are light blue. Since your terrier has dark blue, I think there's nothing to worry about. I think they are the most adorable with blue eyes and I am trying to find one but I can't cuz theyre so rare! I hope that answers your question.

hi, my boston is going to be 3 in october. he has big blue eyes. everyone that sees him comments on his eyes. i think it makes him unique. he is very spoiled.

We have had 4 litters and all the babies had blue eyes at first. It is the dark blue like you said. They turn color later.

My Sweet pea has dark blue eyes. But she has no hearing problems and is healthy. She is 5 years old.
