It's wonderful that you are concerned about your Boston and wanted to find out answers to your questions. Just like people, dogs can get pregnant relatively soon after having a litter. However, pregnancy is very difficult on the body as most resources go to the growing babies at the expense of the mom. For this reason it is important to wait a cycle before breeding again - both the mom and the puppies will be healthier.

why so rough by: Chip
The poster was asking for advice about how often she should breed. A simple suggestion would have been good, like the first comment. She didn't need you to be stern.
At least she's seeking information and not just "puppy farming" her dam...

Puppies by: Mary
You CAN breed them each cycle but it is not suggested. Your puppy could use a "rest" every other cycle to let her body get back it's strength. If you want to have puppies every 6 months you can get another breeder female and switch them every other cycle.

No, why would you do that except for money? She needs to skip at least one heat, but again why are you breeding so often?
