Aggressive BostonTerrier

by Scott R. Haber

I have a Boston Terrier named Winston. Winston is a rescue dog. I got him when he was 14 months old. He is the most aggressive Boston I've ever had... Although he has had formal training, he has lapses and becomes aggressive with me and my children. I am at my wits end with this dog. We love him... but we hate him... and feel desperately trapped.

2 bostons who are brothers, hate each other
by: Anonymous

I have 2 Bostons (brothers, got about 1 year apart) they HATE each other - they fight till they bleed and if I let them, to death do they part. One is extremely sensitive to loud noises. The other is less so and he seems to be the passive one. They live in separate bedrooms, never see each other - What can be done? They were at a dog behaviorist for 2 weeks, but reverted back within a short time.

Thanks -

Rescued?

It sounds like the adoption agency did not make a good enough match. But it is possible that after a little more time he will become more at ease with your family. Our rescue took about a year to relax and feel comfortable with us and even now she is very skiddish about noises. We have had her for about 2 years now.

There is alot to read about training your dog so do as much reading as possible. Also, make sure he is neutered. As long as you are not going to breed him this usually helps with aggression.
