She is six week old, mother is a pure breed boston, dad is a pure breed basset, and she is the cutest thing in the world. Black and white with a few bits of brindle. Does any one have any help for me on how to keep her clean? Her mouth stinks! I have flea bathed her and I have some soothing bath and wipes and ear cleaner. Any help would be welcome. At six weeks, I would say she probably still has what is referred to as "puppy breath." It's fairly pungent. It will go away on its own; in the meantime, wet a facecloth and wipe her face and mouth with it. Rinse, then wipe the outside of her teeth, gums and jowls, just in case there's a bit of food stuck somewhere. If it doesn't get better, or gets worse, consult your vet. I had a bloodhound, and once the puppy breath disappeared, she was fine.
