I have a 7 month old female boston and the vet said that because of the breeds small size it can be between 6 and 12 months before they can come into heat. Be aware you should not breed on the first heat.

Please! unless your Boston is PERFECT! Please don't become a backyard breeder. You have to have a lot of things checked before you breed. The world is full of Bostons that can't HEAR, SEE or just don't have the right coloring all because someone wants to breed their dog. Leave it to the professionals.

Don't worry! It will come soon enough probably.

Ours were about 11 months old.
Every dog is different and has their own time frame. After their first heat our two girls went into heat every 7 months. Perhaps the first one takes it's time.
