5 year old Boston all of sudden limping and lame

My five year old Boston started limping looked like front rt shoulder she would play and get lame back and forth. Two to three weeks of this and now it seems her back legs/hips are a problem and her play has immensely dwindled...all seemed so sudden. Have been told give aspirin for arthritis or glucosamine...but in the end I need some serious knowledgeable advice. Do not want it to come to anything invasive...want to keep it to meds or eating advice please I am so sad to see my girl like this.
