2-Yr Old Boston Terrier Has Seizure

Batman is 2.5 years old and had his first seizure at 3am this morning. We're going to the vet in a couple hours, but would like to see what other thoughts BT owners had on this. Naturally, it was quite the scare when he started shaking and losing control of his legs, but after a few minutes it stopped and we started researching. Batman then went on to being his normal self, ready to play as if nothing happened. It appears this is a rather common issue, which I've seen on this forum as well, but I certainly want to take the initiative to take care of the guy before it turns into something worse. This is the first issue of any kind we've had with him.

Any thoughts on the meds we might be recommended? Also wondering if this could be circumstantial with factors like him being in the heat for a long time yesterday.
