1.5yr old BT Hospitalized 5 Days Straight - Need Opinions

Our 1.5yr old BT suddenly became ill 6 days ago. She vomited up the peanut butter treat we gave her but she had no problems scarfing down her food afterwards. Midnight of that same day, she began to develop diarrhea. The next morning, 5 days ago, she vomited 3 consecutive times which was then followed up by uncontrollable diarrhea and more vomiting. We took her to the vet who hospitalized her that day, running IV fluids and antibiotics into her to control what the vet said was Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). We brought her home that night only to experience more vomiting and leaky stool.

4 days ago we woke up to bloody diarrhea so we took her back to the vet where she's been ever since. They have tested her for Pancreitis (negative), Parvo (negative), Giardiasis (negative) and other diseases but the vet continues to believe it's IBD. They even did an x-ray and found no blockages or twisted stomach.

Since she only continues to worsen the next step is a scope with a biopsy of the intestine. Something tells me this is more than IBD since she continues to worsen each day.

Anyone have any ideas of other diseases it could be?

Opinion re: 1.5yo hospitalization

We are to pick up our BT/Jack girl today from the vet after a 7 day stay on ivs. She had the same symptoms which my vet diagnosed as hemorrhagic gastroenterittis (HGE) which can be life threatening due to the excessive diarrhea. We live in SC and she could have contracted it from many sources - eating dead cicada bugs to eating a lizard or skink. At any rate, she has been very sick and we are glad we got her in to the vet in time. The vet also told us that she has seen a lot of dogs sick from their food. What with the heatwave we've experienced and the shipping of the food in unfrigerated trucks, it has become rancid. My other dogs have been eating it, however, and they have been fine. But a friend of mine in RI told me that she had a sick kitty due to maggots being in the kitty's wet food. She did not see them at first but then noticed and opened all the packets to see the same thing. She called Purina and the owner of the company actually called her back and has been wonderful. I hope your pup does well.
Please post and let us know how she does.
