1 yr old BT peeing in house and licking excessively

I recently got my first BT he is very loving and affectionate, licks u excessively, and has a problem with peeing in house, tho does go to door to be let out, old owner had problems with him pooping in house, i haven't had this problem, just peeing on occasion, how do i get him to stop both licking and peeing?

I think the licking is a nervous/needy reaction; I have a rescue who really licks herself and us to the point where I have to tell her to stop licking herself. Patience and perhaps substituting a chew bone will redirect the attention away from licking.

Hopefully your dog is fixed; he could be marking territory.If not, take care of that. If you don't use a crate, you should probably start. As soon as you let him out take him directly outside for his duty call. Tell him even before he's out of the crate that he is going out for a "quick pee" or whatever you want to call it. "Pee out" is another term to use.
